This intensive, practical course equips accounting professionals to implement IFRS standards in real-world scenarios — preparing statements compliant with IFRS, making essential adjustments, and evaluating the financial effects of IFRS on performance. The course aims to bridge the gap between understanding IFRS standards and their application within the accounting department.
Participants will consistently follow this professional process: Transaction → Identify the IFRS → Understand the definition → Recognition → Initial measurement → Subsequent measurement → Accounting treatment → Journal entry → IFRS adjustment → Financial statement impact → Ratio impact → Professional judgement
The course will concentrate on the standards most commonly encountered in practical financial reporting, including IAS 2, IAS 16, IAS 36, IAS 37, IAS 38, IAS 12, IAS 21, IAS 23, IAS 7, IAS 8, IFRS 9, IFRS 15, IFRS 16, and the relevant presentation requirements.
