1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Rubicon Executive Academy website and services. By accessing our website, registering for a course, or making a payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
These Terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use your personal data.
We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website and, where appropriate, communicated to registered participants. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Eligibility
By registering for our services, you confirm that:
• You are at least 18 years of age, or are registering with the authorisation of a parent, guardian, or employer
• You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• All information provided during registration is accurate and complete
3. Services
Rubicon Executive Academy provides professional training programmes, workshops, and related educational services. All programmes are subject to availability.
We reserve the right to modify course content, schedules, venues, or trainers where necessary. We will provide reasonable notice of any significant changes to registered participants.
4. Registration and Payment
Course registration is confirmed upon receipt of full payment or official written confirmation from Rubicon Executive Academy.
Payment Terms:
• All fees must be paid in full prior to the course start date, unless a payment plan has been agreed in writing
• We accept payment by bank transfer, credit card, or such other methods as may be indicated at the time of registration
• All fees are quoted in Qatari Riyals (QAR) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable, unless otherwise stated
• Late payment may result in your registration being cancelled and your place being offered to another participant
Reservations:
• We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a registration at our discretion, in which case any fees paid will be refunded in full
• Registrations are personal and non-transferable unless expressly agreed in writing by Rubicon Executive Academy
5. Attendance and Certification
• Participants must attend the full course to be eligible for a certificate of completion, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in advance
• Certificates are issued based on the information provided at the time of registration; it is the participant's responsibility to ensure that all personal details, including full name and date of birth where required, are accurate before the course begins
• Rubicon Executive Academy accepts no liability for errors in certificates arising from inaccurate information provided by the participant
• Replacement certificates may be issued upon request and may be subject to an administrative fee
6. Cancellations and Changes by Rubicon Executive Academy
We may need to reschedule, relocate, or cancel a course due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to insufficient enrolment, trainer unavailability, or events outside our control (see Clause 11 – Force Majeure).
In such cases, registered participants will be offered:
• A place on an alternative course date or equivalent programme, or
• A full refund of fees paid
We will provide as much notice as reasonably practicable. We are not liable for any ancillary costs incurred by participants (such as travel or accommodation) in the event of a cancellation or change.
7. Cancellation by Participant – Refund Policy
The following cancellation and refund terms apply to all course registrations. Requests to cancel must be submitted in writing to the contact details in Clause 13.
Standard Refund Schedule:
• Cancellation 14 or more days before the course start date: full refund of fees paid
• Cancellation 7 to 13 days before the course start date: 50% refund of fees paid
• Cancellation less than 7 days before the course start date: no refund
• Non-attendance without prior notice: no refund
Substitutions:
You may substitute a registered participant with another individual of equivalent eligibility, provided written notice is given at least 48 hours before the course start date. The substituting participant must meet all registration requirements.
Exceptional Circumstances:
Refund requests made outside the standard schedule due to medical emergencies or other exceptional circumstances will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Supporting documentation may be required.
Processing
Approved refunds will be processed within 14 working days of the cancellation request being confirmed, using the original payment method where possible.
8. Intellectual Property
All course materials, presentations, handouts, website content, and related materials are the sole property of Rubicon Executive Academy or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Participants are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use course materials for their own learning purposes only. No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed, published, or shared in any form without prior written consent from Rubicon Executive Academy.
9. Website Use
By accessing our website, you agree not to:
• Use the website for any unlawful purpose or in a manner that could damage or impair its operation
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or its related systems
• Transmit any harmful, offensive, or disruptive content
Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites. Links do not constitute an endorsement.
We do not guarantee that the website will be available at all times or that the content will be free from errors. We reserve the right to withdraw or modify the website at any time without notice.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
• Rubicon Executive Academy's total liability to any participant arising from or in connection with these Terms, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall not exceed the total fees paid by that participant for the course in question
• We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, special, or incidental loss, including loss of profit, loss of data, or loss of opportunity, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such loss
• We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from a participant's reliance on course content for professional or commercial decisions
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Qatari law.
11. Force Majeure
Rubicon Executive Academy shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, civil unrest, power outages, or other events of force majeure.
In such circumstances, we will notify affected participants as soon as reasonably practicable and will endeavour to reschedule or otherwise accommodate affected registrations.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Qatar. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Qatar.
We encourage participants to raise any concerns directly with us in the first instance. We are committed to resolving disputes promptly and fairly.
13. General
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any written confirmation of registration, constitute the entire agreement between you and Rubicon Executive Academy in relation to your use of our services, and supersede all prior representations, agreements, or understandings.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it in the future.
